Easter part 2

both kids had fun on sunday. it was the first easter that any of my kids were able to attend a family gathering. our first easter with samantha, i was pregnant and my grandma was very ill like hospice ill. the second easter with sam and first with shep my sister was in the midst of planning her wedding so everyone was busy with that. yesterday we had a meal at my cousin's home and ironically easter fell on the second anniversary of my grandma's death. it was a good time and the kids enjoyed it too.

cute easter story, our first easter with samantha - she was around 16 months old and her mammaw and poppy hid eggs around our living room. their eggs have money in them so whenever samantha found one she shook it to hear the money. well she got one egg and poppy said "shake it!" and samantha started shaking her booty. she started dancing in the living room! it was too cute!

Easter Sunday

Here's the little guy in our cousin's yard. Once he realized there was candy in the eggs, he did not want samantha getting to them first!

Shepard wouldn't stand still long enough to see his outfit. oh well.

Here is the train cake that mommy made for him. Take a good hard look because it won't be happening again! Unless of course, sheppie requests it or samantha!

Shepard did really well looking at the cake for about an hour without touching it! He even ate his supper after mommy threatened him with no cake about 20 times!

Here we are singing to shepard. he actually is laughing! at samantha's birthday it was too loud for him and he started to cry. guess now he really is a toddler because it was all about him! he wasn't stingy on giving out thank yous and hugs after he opened the presents! now next sunday is aunt nancy and cousin chris' birthdays! lets see how he does with that one!

Stomach bug over!!!

we were in the house all week before the icestorm hit. on monday, some of the moms from highview had a playdate. i saw the forecast for tuesday and thought, 'I cant' take it if we don't have school on tues.' we all had a good time. we went to all about kids off blankenbaker rd. it was really fun. samantha gained some confidence doing some things on her own like this slide. after the icestorm, school was out all week. now my kids have missed two weeks of school - well really four days, they only go on tues/thurs. but mommy needs her mommy time!!! oh well there will be plenty of that later when they grow older.

this was like a trampoline runway. my kids ran/jumped from one end to the other. of course, the pit is meant to be jumped into and they both just slid down into it.

samantha went into this bouncy obstacle course all by herself. the kids did really good until shep got hungry and threw a temper fit right at the door. boys, tonight shep peed when i took off his diaper. i mistakenly thought he was over that stage. guess that stage just evolves into peeing in the bushes or anywhere else outside in public!~

Snow Days!!

sheps finally inside with mammaw and eating a pretzel stick. not much for the snow even though he usually loves to go outside.

samantha's my warm blooded girl but she loved sledding down mammaw's hill. we only slid out into the street once~!

we were without power on wed. morning until thurs. we stayed at my moms house. everyone else without little kids toughed it out at home. but there's no way i'm staying in a house without heat. we did have fun until the kids wanted to get up at 6am. good thing our power was on so they could go home and take a 3 hr nap!
